2023 MANA Virtual Symposium (Previously known as the MANA Fall Symposium)

"Expanding the Exposome: The Power of Mass Spectrometry"

Event: September 8, 2023

Host: Oliver Fiehn, Ph.D., Arpana Vaniya, Ph.D., & Jeannette Martins (UC Davis West Coast Metabolomics Center)

About: The MANA Fall Symposium 2023, “Expanding the Exposome: The Power of Mass Spectrometry,” brought together leading scientists to explore how mass spectrometry is advancing exposomics and our understanding of environmental impacts on human health. Through a series of expert presentations, the symposium covered key topics including early-life exposures, chemical exposure mapping, cheminformatics for EPA applications, and the annotation of HRMS exposomics data. Featuring speakers from Emory University, Yale University, Mount Sinai Health System, the U.S. EPA, and beyond, the event highlighted innovative approaches to characterizing the exposome and translating these insights into meaningful health outcomes.

Speakers:

  • Dana Barr, Ph.D. (Emory University)

  • Jonathan Martin, Ph.D. (Stockholm University)

  • Lauren Petrick, Ph.D. (Mount Sinai Health System)

  • Antony Williams, Ph.D. (U.S. EPA)

  • Krystal Godri Pollitt, Ph.D. (Yale University)

  • Dinesh Barupal, Ph.D. (Mount Sinai Health System)
