2020 MANA Virtual Symposium (Previously known as the MANA Summer Symposium)

“Biological and Computational Interpretation of Metabolomic Datasets”

Event: September 4, 2020

Host: Oliver Fiehn, Ph.D., Arpana Vaniya, Ph.D., & Jeannette Martins (UC Davis West Coast Metabolomics Center)

About: The MANA Summer Symposium 2020, “Biological and Computational Interpretation of Metabolomic Datasets,” brought together leading experts to explore approaches for extracting meaningful biological insights from complex metabolomics data. Through a series of expert presentations, the symposium highlighted advances in multi-omics integration, metabolic pathway analysis, and computational modeling of cellular systems. Topics included bioinformatics tools such as HMDB, MetaboAnalyst, and PathBank, as well as applications in systems medicine, environmental metabolomics, and microbial metabolism. Together, these discussions emphasized the critical role of computational and systems-level approaches in advancing metabolomics research and translating data into biological understanding.
